Connected to Nature

Growing up I always had a healthy relationship with my food. I truly loved fruits and vegetables. I remember from a young age just cutting up salads made me happy, like truly happy.  When I was 18 I had my first apartment, I also went through a lot of ups and downs. I found when I finally had time to make myself food, healthy foods, This made me feel joy. I knew I always had this relationship with Mother Nature, with plants.

My twin sister, Samantha would make food creations. she would call them “Samixtures”. One of her famous foods was called “peanut Que” it was a sliced cucumber dipped in vinegar with peanut butter in the middle. This snack sticks out the most in my childhood. She would also put fruit salads together and we both thought it was genius! We were probably like 7 years old loving our healthy foods.

I very much feel extremely connected to our earth. Every couple of months I get emotionally connected to specific herbs or essential oils. For example, recently I was drawn to cardamom. I used it in teas, coffee, and salads, and I even infused it with just plain morning water. I of course used it in soaps and lotions. Cardamom is a protection herb. It’s the emotional meaning to give strength and protect.

I needed this herb during personal time more than I thought I did. I tend to go through this emotional connection with different essential oils at different times. This has been going on for years now and I didn’t realize it until a good friend of mine pointed this out. The moral of the story is I know Mother Nature is there for me and I respect and love her. It brings me so much joy to be able to bring her essence into my products.

I put so much thought and intention into Ava Quinn’s because everyone deserves to have clean products made with nature’s genius.
